As the asset manager of the Ginan Solar Portfolio, comprising utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, we are uniquely placed to identify and respond to the challenges that clean energy asset owners face.

Ginan Solar Portfolio
In 2020 PCC launched LAVO, commercialising UNSW’s breakthrough metal hydride technology providing asset owners with a safe solution for long-duration green hydrogen storage. LAVO and PCC recently demonstrated the utility-scale viability of LAVO’s technology at one of our managed 5MW solar farms in Victoria.
LAVO’s hybrid technology offers a full energy storage solution across multiple timescales, enabling greater flexibility and reliability of supply. With this unique value proposition, LAVO is ideally suited to meet opportunities arising out of the rapidly evolving global energy sector.
End-to-End Solar Farm Optimisation and Integration
Ginan Solar Portfolio
The Ginan Solar Portfolio is a renewable energy platform designed to drive the development of utility-scale solar farms throughout regional Australia integrated with LAVO’s long-duration hydrogen storage technology. Given the remote and unmanned nature of these sites, asset management, storage integration and value maximisation becomes challenging.
PCC and Evergen have demonstrated increased profitability through the integration of Evergen’s PaaS platform to 16 operational solar farm sites. Evergen’s PaaS platform provides monitoring and control capability. This includes the intelligent dispatch-down system that provides automated smart trading for merchant-exposed sites to increase revenue generation. The platform also provides seamless control and optimisation of integrated energy storage (both Li-ion and Hydrogen), site monitoring and alerting.
Evergen’s platform has helped avoid >$150,000 of ongoing monthly costs and >$123,000 of one-off costs for the 16-site portfolio.
